We’re supporting TransActual with their Meet Us, Hear Us campaign.

MPs, other elected representatives and policy makers make decisions impacting trans people’s lives every single day. But many have never knowingly met a trans person.

Meet Us, Hear Us aims to change that. It’ll make sure every elected representative has had the opportunity to meet a trans person and hear about the issues that impact us day in, day out.

On the first day of Trans Awareness Week, 13 November, TransActual are going to be in Parliament talking to MPs and they want you to be there too.

You can do your bit to bring about change by being part of the #MeetUsHearUs campaign.

Here’s what you need to do:

• Register for one of TransActual’s Meet Us, Hear Us workshops.

• Arrange to meet your MP in Parliament on Wednesday, 13 November. If they, or you, aren’t available on that date, arrange to meet them another time instead.

• Book your train ticket! If you’re on a low income/no income, we’re able to offer a travel bursary – let us know on the Meet Us Hear Us meeting form.

• Let us know you’ve booked a meeting using our Meet Us Hear Us meeting form.
